He began to take part in exhibitions since 1952. He painted a lot in the genre of portrait, landscape, created thematic works.
Participant of many all-Union, republican and Moscow exhibitions. A number of the artist's works were donated to Bulgaria and Poland. The works of Yu.I. Masyutin are in a number of CIS museums, in particular, in the Museum of Fine Arts (Riga) etc.
