Sefer Sha'ar Tefilah, commentary on the topics of prayer on the way of Chasidus and Kabbalah. Responsa by Rabbi Chaim of Chernowitz, author of Sidduro Shel Shabbat, Siddikov, 1836. Second edition.
Second edition of the important book written by Rabbi Chaim of Tchernovitz, one of the greatest of Chasidut of all generations. The author immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1813 and lived in Safed, where he was buried in a cave named after him, He wrote this book about prayer in the Land of Israel "being holy in holiness in the land of life." The book was printed only a few years after his death.
The first leaves: "Question and answer ... " The answer dealt with the words of the Noda B'Yehuda, which challenged the Chasidic customs and their formulas. These pages are missing many copies of this book.
