2 Attr. C.C. Wang Carved Landscape Scholar Rocks
Attributed C.C. Wang (Chinese, 1907-2003). Group of two skillfully carved Chinese scholar's rocks depicting mountainous landscapes, sculpted of natural rock. Each rock is affixed to a carved and lacquered wooden stand. Both rocks are marked along the recto; the taller rock with an illegible pencil signature and the shorter rock is with an incised inscription reading "N5495013".
(Including Stand) height ranges from 8 1/2 in to 9 in; width ranges from 11 1/2 in to 13 in.
Condition: Due to the nature of the material it is difficult to discern if there are any losses. However, there are no obvious breaks or losses. The rocks are affixed to wooden stands and have not been inspected off of the stand. Light wear to the stand. Some light dust/debris in the recessed areas of the stand.
