Chuah Thean Teng Batik Painting Mother & Children
Chuah Thean Teng (Chinese/Malaysian, 1914-2008). Batik painting depicting a mother caring for three young children. Signed along the lower left.
Provenance: Collected in Kuala Lumpur, 1960-65.
Sight; height: 22 1/2 in x width: 17 in. Framed; height: 25 in x width: 19 1/2 in x depth: 1 1/2 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears, losses, creases, or restorations. One light spot of soiling just to the left of the young boy's shoulder. Framed under glass; light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
