Late 19th c. Jain Siddhachakra Yantra Mandala
Gujarat or Rajasthan Indian ink and pigment on paper Siddhachakra or Navapada mandala painting depicting a tantric Jain yantra surrounded by auspicious symbols including a horse, elephant, cow, fish, and tiger, late 19th century. With two eyes atop the diagram possibly symbolizing omniscience or clairvoyance. Inscribed with written mantras or incantations along a third of one of the central circles.

Indian yantras are geometric diagrams used in sacred practices to aid meditation and spiritual growth. They serve as visual tools to represent divine energies and cosmic principles, guiding practitioners in focusing their thoughts and intentions to achieve higher states of consciousness and inner harmony. The Siddhachakra or Navapada is a yantra or mandala, a mystical diagram, used in Jain worship. These typically feature a Kalasha, or sacred vessel, with eyes and a central medallion.
