Group of 12 Antique Japanese Woodblock Prints
Group of 12 antique Japanese woodblock prints depicting beautiful women or courtesans in intricate dress. Including artists such as Toyokuni, Eisho, Kiyomine, Choshun, Toyoharu, Shikimaro, and Yushin.
(Sheet, each) height ranges from 12 in to 14 1/2; width ranges from 7 3/4 in to 10 in. (Matted, each) height ranges from 14 in to 20 in; width ranges from 10 in to 13 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations to the prints themselves. The sheets are toned and affixed to acidic mat boards. Wear throughout the mats, including some handling marks and light soiling along the margins; some frits along the extreme edges. There are penciled inscriptions of numbers along the lower right corners of some of the mats.
