2 Gihachiro Okuyama Winter Landscape Prints
Gihachiro Okuyama (Japanese, 1907-1981). Group of two woodblock prints depicting snowy landscapes, likely ca. 1950s.
(Vertical) Sheet; height: 9 1/2 in x width: 4 3/4 in. Matted; height: 10 in x width: 8 in. (Horizontal) Sheet; height: 5 in x width: 9 1/2 in. Matted; height: 7 3/4 in x width: 10 in.
Condition: There are no tears or losses to either prints. The sheets are toned, mainly along the image, likely from the matting. Both sheets are hinged to the paper backing with two small pieces of framer's tape: the horizontal print along the upper edge and the vertical print along the left edge. Both works are not framed. Toning, some skimming, and foxing to the paper mats.
