Toyokuni I Geisha & Cat Japanese Woodblock Print
Utagawa Toyokuni (Toyokuni I) (Japanese, 1769-1825). 19th century Japanese woodblock print on paper depicting a partially robed Geisha with her cat at a bathhouse. The cat playfully toys at the woman's ornate blue robe.
Sight; height: 14 3/4 in x width: 9 1/4 in. Framed; height: 20 1/2 in x width: 15 1/2 in x depth: 3/4 in.
Condition: There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations. The colors are slightly faded and the sheet is toned. Area of skimming visible along the lower right corner. Housed under a woven mat. Framed under glass; light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
