"As Found" Native American Shaman Staff w/ Bifurcated Snake Tongue Point
North America, Native American, digging stick or snake stick. Bifurcated quartz crystal point affixed to wood shaft, carved in high relief to the upper section depicting a serpent. Some fiber weaving remains at neck of staff.
In various Native American spiritual practices, staffs or sticks are used as ritual tools or objects of power. These items may be adorned with symbols, including those of snakes, which could represent a connection to the spiritual world, the natural environment, or specific deities / forces. Size 35 1/4" L
