[MAILLART PHILIPPE-JOSEPH]: (1764-1856) Belgian Engraver during the French Revolution. One of the most reputed engravers of his time. Two L.S., `Delajuiffe´, three pages and two pages respectively, folio, Brussels, 11th & 13th January 1795, to the Committee of Surveillance of Belgium, in French. The two letters bearing very attractive Revolutionary vignettes by Belgian engraver Philippe-Joseph Maillart. Delajuiffe in his capacity as Principal Commissar of the general Police, and on behalf of the Central Administration of Belgium, reports on the Representatives of the People, on new laws and decrees, on the requisition of leather in order to produce boots for the soldiers, etc..
