A German school oil on canvas portrait of an officer. With the artist's signature: "Volkmann" lower left. The image of an officer is interpreted in the style of romanticism. A calm greenish background is combined with the color of the eyes of a young man. There is a calm half-smile on his lips and he seems rather dreamy than belligerent. The officer is depicted with two Russian awards: an Order of St. Vladimir and St. George.
