An English sterling silver Georgian coffee pot - London 1770
baluster shaped form with domed hinged cover onto a circular pedestal foot. The plain body embellished with chased floral decorations and with the contemporary engraved motto "Malo mori quam foedari". Scroll handle with elephant ivory insulators (Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797 o Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758). Fully hallmarked London 1770-71, silversmith "I . M " not identified. Height 28 cm, foot diameter 10.3 cm. Weight 805 gr. Item condition grading: **** good. Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of antiquity (pre-1947).
