AN ANTIQUE ADVERTISING POSTER DENMARK 1918
An original advertising poster for Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen. Poster designed by Thor Bøgelund Jensen. Published by Andreasen and Lachmann, 1918. The poster is in good condition, with traces of restoration on the back.Thor Bøgelund Jensen (1890-1959) - is a Danish artist who worked primarily with posters. In Denmark he became the pioneer of poster art as a commercial art. His works are simple and monumental and had a very strong influence on the art of the Danish poster of the 20th century.
