Figures in the Landscape is an original artwork realized by Jules Adrian Flour in 1916.
The artwork is glued on cardboard. Hand-signed in pencil and numbered on the lower right corner by the artist.
Very beautiful artwork representing a bucolic scene with several figures. In the background, we can see a temple, and below is a river. The impression is very fresh and the composition is well-balanced.
Jules Adrian Flour (Avignon, 1864 - 1921) was a French painter. In 1883, he moved to Paris to attend the courses of Jean-Léon Gêrome and, in 1887, he exhibited his artworks at the Salon of French Artists. He is considered a very interesting artist of that period, especially for the precision of his stroke and his ability to catch the emotions of the characters of his artworks.
