In the margins of the book are scholarly glosses by Rabbi Yitzhak Navon, in Sephardic script. His name appears in two of the glosses.
The Gaon Rabbi Yitzhak Navon (1733-1787) was the third generation of a family of rabbis whose wisdom illuminated the Middle East and Jerusalem. His father was the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda and his grandfather was the Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Navon, author of Machaneh Ephraim.
