PLEYEL MARIE: (1811-1875) Belgian concert Pianist. A.L.S., M. Pleyel, one page, 8vo, to a lady, Brussels, 21st March 1854, in French. Marie Pleyel sends a categorical response, stating `Madam, I never give private lessons, there is no price, and no conditions; I only have pupils in my Conservatory class. The name of the young woman you mention is totally unknown to me, and I can certify that not only I never gave her any advice but also that I have never seen her.´ With blank integral leaf.
