Dumas states `I support very strongly the request presented by Madame Laforet, previously recommended by Mr. Regnier, for the worker post.´ With blank integral leaf. Together with a printed original wedding announcement, one page, 4to, Paris, 26th June 1895. The text states `Madame Henriette de Regnier as the honour to announce her marriage to Monsieur Alexandre Dumas, member of the French Academy and Grand Officer of the Legion d´Honneur´. The document bears the attractive « Original Oxford » watermark. With blank integral leaf. VG, 2 Henriette Regnier de la Briere (1851-1934) Second wife of Alexandre Dumas fils. Twenty seven years younger than Dumas, she married him only five months before the French author passed away.
