A. Chukei Chaim Responsa by the Rishon Le'Zion Rabbi Chaim Avraham Gagin. Jerusalem, 1843. Reb Yisrael Bak Printing Press. Single Edition.
This book is the first responsa printed in Jerusalem and one of the first books in general that were printed there (S. Ha'Levi 9).
At the center of the title page, an engraving of the flag of engraver, Reb Yisrael Bak, which he had brought with him from Berdychiv.
The author is the first to receive the official title of "Chacham Bashi" in 1842. The introduction of the book describes, among others, the dispute between the author and the clerks of the Kollel regarding the sealing of a window of the "Beit El" Yeshiva in his yard in order to make the place fit for the "Akedat Yitzchak" Yeshiva.

With inscriptions of the "Torat Eretz Yisrael" Yeshiva in Zefat "under the flag of our great Rabbi, the Ridbaz".

Part of the book "Sha'areu Tzedek". Drushim and novellae about the virtue of the Land of Israel by Rabbi Davif ben Shimon (1824-1880, Rosh Av Beit Din of the Ma'araviyim community of Jerusalem). Includes an index called "Ulam Ha'Sha'ar".
