The Eulogy of Rabbi Aryeh Levin on Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook - Additions in his Handwriting

In this booklet are various Halachic articles, and a special supplement with the title "Zecher Tzadik Livracha (the memory of the righteous should be blessed)", "at the completion of the first year since the death of our teacher Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook". In this section are eulogies from the great men of Jerusalem, amongst them Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlap, Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky and others. The last eulogy is from Rabbi Aryeh Levin. In his article "Tiferet Yisrael", Rabbi Aryeh describes Rabbi Kook with awe and with tremendous admiration, and recalls his memories of a few of his formative meetings with Rav Kook.
The copy before us belonged to Rabbi Aryeh, and he added two lines of eulogy in his handwriting in the page's margins. Amongst other things he wrote: "he devoted all of his body, spirit and soul to the service of G-d in all of its processes". These lines were also not printed in other books in which this eulogy was printed.
