Chiddushei HaRim - Warsaw, 1875 - The Copy of the Kotzker Rebbes

Chiddushei HaRim on tractates Ketubot and Kidushin, by the Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Meir of Gur. Warsaw, 1875. First edition.
At the beginning of the book are a number of signatures and inscriptions which show that this book belonged to Rabbi Zelig Morgenstern of Kotzk.
An additional inscription: "This book belongs to Dovtzi, Dayan here, Kotzk".
A similar inscription: "This book Chiddushei HaRim belongs to the incomparable, sharp Rabbi the expert in Torah, who fears Heaven, his honour our master Rabbi Dudtshi, Dayan here, the words of the writer on Tuesday, Pinchas, 1886, Yosef Morgenstern son of the Rabbi of Kotzk".
Signature and stamp: "Rabbi Lipman David Shawaks Av Beit Din and Dayan of the Chassidic Kollelot, Jerusalem".
There is a handwritten gloss.
The Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Zelig Morgenstern (1866-1940), son of Rabbi Chaim Yisrael, son of Rabbi David Morgenstern, son of the "Saraf" of Kotzk. One of the important Rebbes of Kotzk-Sokolov and one of the leaders of Polish Jewry before the Holocaust. The Rabbi of Sokolov for 40 years. His descendants were important Rebbes.
Rabbi Lipman David Shawaks, Av Beit Din of the Chassidic Congregation of Jerusalem, ordained for the Rabbinate at the young age of 16, and served as a Rabbi at the time of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk. In 1898 he immigrated to Jerusalem.
Condition: Good-Fair. Detached leaves. Moth damage.
