Lamp for Hanging in a Synagogue. [Eastern Europe, Early 19th Century]
Large lamp for hanging in a synagogue, made of cast brass.
The base of the lamp is made as a star with six arms to hold oil and wicks, and under it, there is a platter to catch the oil remnants.
From the body of the lamp, there are six arms designed as curved branches that each end with a flat saucer and candle-holder. On the top, there are six small arms with flowers at their ends. The top bears a crown and a hook.
Length: 70 cm including the platters. Width: Approximately 40 cm. Overall fine condition.The lamp requires reinforcement.
