HERGÉ: (1907-1983) Georges Prosper Remi. Belgian Cartoonist. Best known for creating the series of comics "The Adventures of Tintin". An excellent T.L.S., Hergé, one page, folio, Bruxelles, 4th January 1972, on the Studios Hergé attractive printed stationery, to Madame J. Paques, in French. The letter bears at the heading the black embossed letters of "Studios Hergé" alongside a printed drawing of Tintin and Milou. Hergé responds to her correspondent, thanking her for her son´s drawing and for her letter and apologizes stating in part `My drawing studio is a working place. If I had to receive here all Belgium children (and from much further), we would end up with many visitors here…but not much work done any more!´ Further sending all his best wishes. Signed in bold black ink at the base of the letter. Framed in black wood colour and glazed to an overall size of 12.5 x 16. EX £400-600
