(many being contemporary copies), comprising over four hundred and fifty hundred pages, 4to and folio, various places, October 1844 - December 1846. The letters being mainly correspondence from Athens sent by Sir Edmund Lyons to Lord Burghersh, Earl of Westmorland, also including letters from Berlin, sent by Earl of Westmorland to Sir Edmund Lyons, seemingly bound for Charles Stuart. Many of the letters, one in French, with interesting content relating to the period, including many references to political and diplomatic affairs, mainly in Greece, Constantinople, Italy, Germany, etc.. and to many contemporary influential political figures such as Viscount Palmerston, Earl of Aberdeen, Prince Klemens von Metternich, and many others.
