Picture Booklet "La'Neshek Vela'Meshek", Photographs by Zoltan Kluger, Special Edition of Keren Ha'Yesod, Jerusalem, 1942, Most Rare
Dozens of photographs from the Land of Israel during World War II. The photographs emphasize the part the Jews played in the War, the army, the settlements and the industry. The booklet contains data about the production of the Jewish industry, photographs from courses for engineers and the struggle against Malaria. On the back title page there is a call of Chaim Weizmann for mass enlistment to the army.
The pictures in the booklet were taken by Zoltan (Zvi) Kluger, who immigrated to Israel in 1933. The thousands of pictures that Kluger had taken documented the Zionist enterprise and the to-be-State.
The photographs in this booklet are rare since between the years 1940-1946, the British prohibited taking pictures of the Land of Israel.
