Authored by Rabbi Tuvia HaRofei of Metz. Tens of original woodcuts, different than what was printed in the first Venice edition of [1707]. Some of the woodcuts on entire pages. A large portion with human and animal busts.
Leaves 15-16 feature the "Zichron L'Vnei Yisrael" booklet about the Sabbatean episode that took place around that time; testimony and letters from Italian Rabbis and more regarding Shabtai Zvi and Nathan of Gaza. Three sections, each with a separate title page.
[4], 122 leaves. 21 cm. New cloth and colored marbleized paper binding. Very fine condition.
