Karakhan Nikolai Georgievich (1900, Nakhichevanik, Nagorni Karabakh – 1970, Tashkent).
People’s artist of the Uzbek SSR. During 1919—1921 studied at Turkistan Regional Art School in Tashkent under the supervision of A.V. Isupov, S.P. Yudin. Known as a member of the Tashkent Branch of the Association of Revolutionary Artists (1926-1929). Exhibited since 1928. His one-man shows took place in Tashkent (1960, 1965, and 1981). N.G. Karakhan’s works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery and other regional museums.
