An unusual A.L., possibly unsigned, in an unidentified hand, one page, 8vo, n.p., 18th January 1767. The letter is dated and annotated at the head `Rev.d Dr…Priestley at Warrington in Lancashire´, and the untranscribed text is in a form of shorthand which predates that of Isaac Pitman. Very small area of paper loss to the upper left corner. Few very small stains. G Priestley was tutor of modern languages and rhetoric at Warrington Academy from 1761-67.
