MANCHESTER UNITED: A good pair of pages removed from the same autograph album, individually signed by eleven members of the 'Busby Babes' Manchester United FC team of the mid-1950s, comprising David Pegg, Johnny Berry, Liam Whelan, Tommy Taylor, Duncan Edwards, Dennis Viollet, Eddie Colman, Bill Foulkes, Roger Byrne, Ray Wood and Jackie Blanchflower. All have signed with their names alone in dark inks. Matted in white, black and cream beneath a reproduction image of the team standing together in full-length poses in a row on a football pitch. 11.5 x 15.5 overall. Rare. About VG

 

Six of the signatories on the present pages, Byrne, Colman, Edwards, Pegg, Taylor and Whelan, were amongst the fatalities resulting from the tragic Munich air disaster of 6^th February 1958.
