HARING KEITH: (1958-1990) American Artist and Activist. Scarce A.L.S., Keith, one page, 4to, New York, n.d. [1987], on his personal printed stationery, to Merrill and students. Haring accepts the invitation to visit his correspondents´ school and states `I am going to Brazil in February. Please call me so we can see if it is possible.´ A bold black ink letter, in capitals, in Haring´s hand. Haring died at the early age of 31 of Aids-related complications. EX £800-1200 Haring´s work responded to the New York City street culture of the 1980s by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality, and war. His imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century.
