A.L.S., Gabriel Fauré, one page, 8vo, n.p.,[Paris], 6th January 1914, on the National Conservatory printed stationery, in French. Fauré supports a protest against the German Army. With blank integral leaf; Vincent d´Indy (1851-1931) French Composer. A.L.S., Vincent d´Indy, one page, 8vo, Ardeche, 1898, to Baudoux, in French. D´Indy refers to the lied Maritime for a contralto of the Imperial Opera of Saint Petersburg. With blank address leaf; Ferdinand Paër (1771-1839) Italian Composer. A.L.S., Paer, two pages, 8vo, Paris, 3rd December 1836, to M. Gallay, in French. The document bears the heading The King´s Music, and Paër refers to the rehearsals which will take place at the Duke of Damas residence with the Duchess presence. With blank address leaf; Alexandre Piccinni (1779-1850) French Composer. A.L.S., two pages, 4to, Alexandre Piccinni, 1825, in French. Piccini reminds his correspondent his awards and titles, stating `I am the private pianist of H.R.H La Dauphine and of His Majesty, and this should be enough to obtain the honourable distinction..´; Fromental Halevy (1799-1862) French Composer. A.L.S., twice F. Halevy, one page, small 8vo, n.p., Saturday 23rd, n.y., to M. Garaudé, in French; Victor Massé (1822-1884) French Composer. A.L.S., Victor Massé, one page, 8vo, n.p., 31st August 1874, to Ambroise Thomas, in French. Massé states `My dear friend, surrounded by indifference and hostility to find a heart like yours consoles..´ With blank integral leaf; Alfred Bruneau (1857-1934) French Composer. A.L.S., Alfred Bruneau, one page, 8vo, n.p., 1st December [1892], in French. Bruneau refers to his last work Le Rêve (`The Dream´), and states `I would be delighted if it was performed at Prague..´ With blank integral leaf; Ernest Reyer (1823-1909) French Composer. A close friend of Berlioz. A.L.S., E. Reyer, one page, 8vo, n.p., 8th January [n.y.], in French. VG, 8 £200-300 Ambroise Thomas (1811-1896) French composer. Director of the Paris Conservatory 1871-96.
