Cocteau explains to his correspondent his accident, stating `I was making foolish things since I escaped from Paris, when the demons, more foolish than I, planned a chute for me, quite unpleasant, on the stone stairs to my working place..´ further saying `A dentist and Pathé Marconi (film record) are obliging me to return to Paris…I will not be able to listen to you, your home is ill, which means without piano.´ Extremely small area of paper loss to the upper left corner not affecting the text or signature.
