Mistral is happy to participate at `..the good charity event that Paris will hold in favour of the Murcia people affected by the floods..´ and joins an autograph poem about this drama, in Occitan, translated to the verso in French in his hand, which he entitles `For Spain´, stating in part `Down there, Spain shouts for help! Burning in the name of the Latin blood, France, in the name of God, come to stretch out your hand to your sister who drowns, and pour her your gold: in golden forests of ears, the gold you sow will grow in Summer, and the grateful people will greet you´. VG £150-200 Spain suffered in November 1879 heavy floods.
