GARROS ROLAND: (1888-1918) French Aviator and Fighter Pilot during WWI. First to cross the Mediterranean sea by air. Unusual and attractive signed postcard photograph by Garros, the image showing his monoplane before the Blériot´s hangar. Signed (`Garros´) in dark ink across the image. Garros died at the very early age of 29 when he was shot down by a German fighter pilot only a month before the end of the war.
