CHARLES X: (1757-1836) Last King of France 1824-30. D.S., Charles, one page, folio, Paris, 10th December 1824, in French. The partially printed document bears an attractive heading of the ''Duke of Bordeaux - Son of France - Colonel General of the Swiss'' and is the appointment of Lieutenant Jean Frederic de Langalerie `in the Swiss regiment d´Hogguer, 7th corps of infantry of the Royal Guard.´ The document is also signed on behalf of Duke Henri Charles d´Artois, grandson of Charles X and only a child at that time, by Barons Jean de Gandy (1766-1840) and Auguste Forestier (1768-150).
