MARIE OF ROMANIA: (1875-1938) Princess Marie of Edinburgh. Queen consort of Romania 1914-27 as the wife of King Ferdinand I. Unusual A.N.S., Marie, several times, on a clipped and irregularly trimmed piece, [Montreux], [4th October 1919]. The Queen of Romania annotates a series of words repeatedly in bold black ink `Manyfold Marie manyfold M Marie M Marie´ and to the verso `always always always everybody most absolute everybody always always´. Marie of Romania annotates all these words while testing a fountain pen, including two large ink stains. Accompanied by a printed oblong 8vo promotional envelope, issued by AD. Kramer-Baumann, Montreux, and advertising ''Postcards, photographs, de luxe paper, fountain pens, Waterman, Swan, Onoto, Kaweco, - Cards ''. Annotated by the collector the date and place the Queen tested and bought the fountain pen. G £100-150
