[CENTURION OCTAVIO]: (1589?-1653) Genoese Banker. Centurion was the most important financial allie of Spanish Kings Philip III and Philip IV. Genoa supported the Spanish monarchy since the Catholic Kings time, with illustrious Genoese citizens welcomed by the Spanish Kings such as Christophus Columbus, Andrea Doria, etc.. Octavio Centurion financed with millions of ducados the imperial plans of the Spanish Kings. The hand written document, twenty pages, folio, being an official and notary document of a loan given by Centurion to King Philip III in 1631. The document details and explains the exact situation of a loan of 750.000 ducados, given in 1629 to finance the Flanders troops and control of conquered territories, reporting on the interest due, amounts paid, etc… An interesting Kingdom loan document.
