CHAVEZ HUGO: (1954-2013) President of Venezuela 1999-2013. T.L.S., H.Rafael Chavez, one page, 4to, Caracas, 14th April 1975, in Spanish. An interesting typed letter sent by Chavez to the Defense Ministry, reporting on what really happened during a conference given by professor Luis Acosta, last 12th of April. Chavez states `The conference title topic was `Bolivar as WARRIOR´. It was then commented that Bolivar understanding about the army forces is to be the support of public institutions, and never take the control of the Nation´ Chavez further refers to the time opened after the conference to ask questions to professor Acosta, and explains that his second question was `I asked his opinion about the international political situation where military governments are growing in number, and if he would warrant the fact that military officers take the control of a nation during a critical situation..´ Chavez defends himself explaining that these were just simple questions trying to understand, and explains that a minority group attending the conference have been reporting wrongly about his own thoughts and intentions. With two file holes to the left border and a tear to the edge, none affecting the signature. Overall creasing and a small stain. G £200-300
