Copper Plate "Zion" and the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Persia, 20th Century
Copper plate decorated with impressive engraving work with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel and their symbols.
The face of the plate is decorated in medallions with the symbols of the twelve tribes, some of which have different symbols than the accepted [a knife is engraved for the tribe of Shimon], decorations of birds, plants and flowers are between them. The words of the verse 'Fortunate are you, Israel, who is like the people saved by G-d ,Shield of your help and Who is Sword of your grandeur, your enemies will try to deceive you, and you will trod on their high ones' are on the rim of the plate. Between parts of the writing, there is is a star of David with the letter 'צ' in it.
