Palestinian Festive Dress, Bethlehem
A Palestinian festive dress - Khedary, Bethlehem, c. 1920. Stripes of silk in green, purple and gray, with couching in silk and metal thread. On the Qabbeh (chest panel) patches with velvet. Length: 144 cm, maximal width: 113 cm. Overall fair-good condition, some mending and staining. See similar item in: Threads of Identity by Widad Kamel Kawar, p. 208.
