ANDERSEN HANS CHRISTIAN: (1805-1875) Danish Author & Poet. A very good autograph poem, one page, 8vo, Rolighed, June 1867, in Danish. Andersen carefully writes an eight verses poem stating `Yesterday came a greeting from the coast of Bretland - It came from the filled warm chest, - To all the loved ones here at home; - Now we send greeting to him today. - It comes whit the electric beat of the heart, - And right away he will sense it. - It only is a little wishful span - From Hamlet«s land to Shakespeare«s land.« An extremely small area of paper loss to the upper right corner. VG £3000-4000 Rolighed is a country house in Copenhagen, property of the Jewish businessman Melchior Moritz, where Andersen had his own room and where he died.
