CHAVEZ HUGO: (1954-2013) President of Venezuela 1999-2013. T.L.S., H.Rafael Chavez, one page, 4to, Caracas, 14th April 1975, in Spanish. An interesting typed letter sent by Chavez to the Defense Ministry, reporting on what really happened during a conference given by professor Luis Acosta, last 12th of April. Chavez states `The conference title topic was `Bolivar as WARRIOR«. It was then commented that Bolivar understanding about the army forces is to be the support of public institutions, and never take the control of the Nation« Chavez further refers to the time opened after the conference to ask questions to professor Acosta, and explains that his second question was `I asked his opinion about the international political situation where military governments are growing in number, and if he would warrant the fact that military officers take the control of a nation during a critical situation..« Chavez defends himself explaining that these were just simple questions trying to understand, and explains that a minority group attending the conference have been reporting wrongly about his own thoughts and intentions.
