Al Chomotayich Yerushalayim, compilation of prayers and lamentations announced by the Bein Din HaGadol in Jerusalem […] on the 20th of Sivan, 30 days of our intense mourning of the destruction of our Holy City and glory and the burning of the Torah. Published by the "Va'ad HaKlali Knesset Yisrael - Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess charity", Jerusalem, 1948.
Order of prayers arranged 30 days after the fall of the Jewish Quarter during the War of Independence with sections of prayer and selichot as well as lamentations composed by R. Zvi Pesach Frank, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem.
These prayers were intended to be recited on the 20th of Sivan which is traditionally a day of mourning of a number of events: The blood libel in Blois (France) in 1171, the Chmielnicki Massacres in 1648-1649 and the Holocaust of European Jewry.
14 pages, 14.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Minor creases.
