Avraham Soskin – Album – Tel-Aviv Views, 1936 – Two Copies – Handwritten Dedication by Meir Dizengoff to the Poet Ya'akov Cohen
Album – Tel-Aviv Views by the photographer Avraham Soskin. [Berlin, 1926]. Hebrew, English and German. Two copies.
An album with 70 printed photographs of Tel-Aviv, from the "Meeting founding Tel-Aviv" 1908 until 1926. The album ends with two maps – one of Tel-Aviv when it was founded and the other of Tel-Aviv in 1926. Introduction and titles in three languages – Hebrew, English and German, by Soskin. At the opening of the album appear the Tel-Aviv coat of arms and photographs of the city's founders and the first mayor Meir Dizengoff.
Two copies, in different bindings. A dedication to the poet Ya'akov Cohen appears in one of the copies, handwritten and hand-signed by Meir Dizengoff, from 1932 (next to the Tel-Aviv coat of arms).
[3] leaves (introductions), [38] plates (picture-plates), approx. 17X23 cm. Condition varies, fair (tears, stains and defects to bindings and to album leaves).
