The Hebrew University was established on 1.4.1925.
this is a collection of documents and correspondence between the Zionist administration in Israel and the Hebrew U. The discussions took place right after the founding of the University. From these discussions we learn about the budget for the University building, national library and more, given to the University by the Zionist administration.
In a document from 14.9.25 we see that a budget of 5000 Egyptian Lirot was given to the University for its first year of activity,1926.
We see demands of collateral as well as demands by the Zionist administration on the University to pay back its debts. We also see different budgets for special programs for the building of national library buildings and the chemistry department budgets.
From two documents from December 1925 and January 1926 we see demands for the University to pay back debts and a explanations as to why they cannot.
There are eight official documents, signed by the University administration. Most are in good condition
