New Canaan, 1948:
Injured Jewish soldier with “Israel” armband before Sir John Bagot Glubb (known as Glubb Pasha) who led and trained Transjordan's Arab Legion between 1939 and 1956 as its commanding general. Each of the individuals surrounding the captured Jewish soldier has a swastika embedded within their head-dress. Glubb Pasha himself is being attended to a a obsequious Mohammed Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Arrayed on the floor alongside a tray of scotch and soda are texts including one reading: “Funeral March - Mediations by Bernadotte”
