HERGÉ: (1907-1983) Georges Prosper Remi. Belgian Cartoonist. Best known for creating the series of comics ''The Adventures of Tintin''. An excellent multiple signed comic `Hergé´, a 9 x 12 hardback cover of his Adventures of Tintin vintage book `Le Lotus Bleu´ (1935) (''The Blue Lotus''), in French. Signed by Hergé in bold black ink to the title page. Also signed to the title page in bold blue ink by Zhang Chongren (1907-1998) in Chinese characters. EX £600-900 Zhang Chongren (1907-1998) also known as Chang Chong-jen, Chinese artist and sculptor best remembered as friend of Hergé, who met Zhang when he was an art student in Brussels. Hergé created the fictional character of Tchang, including him in The Blue Lotus and Tintin in Tibet. For the creation of The Blue Lotus Zhang introduced Hergé to Chinese history, culture, and art.
