CHAUMETTE PIERRE GASPARD: (1763-1794) French Politician during the revolution period. Guillotinedat the age of 30. He acted as prosecutor on the Girondists trial in 1793, and made a leading contribution to establishing the Reign of Terror. Chaumette held strong anti-monarchy views before the National Convention.
