CATHERINE II: (1762-1796) Empress of Russia 1762-96, Catherine the Great. D.S., Ekaterina, in Cyrillic, a bold and good signature example, one page, vellum, oblong 15 x 11 folio, Saint Petersburg, October 1765, to Nikolay Pushchin, in Cyrillic. The partially printed attractive document signed by the `Empress and Sovereign of All Russias..´ is a title given to officer Pushchin serving in Semionovsky Lifeguard regiment, appointing him Lifeguard Lieutenant and discharging him from service because of the pain resulting from his wounds and services given from 19th April 1765. Bearing to the front a large and attractive paper seal affixed. Addressed at the base of the document to Colonel Vadkovsky. Matted in light grey, elegantly framed and glazed to an overall size of 24 x 19. G £3000-4000
