MASSON ANDRÉ: (1896-1987) French Artist. A figure of surrealism. A good set of three A.Ls.S., `Andre Masson´ two of them, and the third signed `André´, one and two pages, 4to, Paris, 1954 one of them, to a friend, in French. Masson refers to one of his book on the first letter and states in part `I don´t know how to express how much your letter pleased me. I feel calm now knowing that you will take care of my book…´, to the second letter Masson says `You have noticed my friend the first steps of my new departure towards the exaltation of colour.
