Among the leaves of the book approx. 20 scholarly glosses handwritten by Rabbi Chaim the son of Rabbi Menachem Algazi, the author's disciple. On leaf 192, a long gloss with his handwritten signature.

Rabbi Chaim Algazi (died in 1710. Otzar Harabbanim 5876), one of the greatest sages of Izmir in the 17th century. A great genius and Dayan. Disciple of the author of "Knesset Hagedolah", Rabbi Shlomo Algazi HaZaken author of "Yavin Shemu'ahj" and the son-in-law of Rabbi Aharon Lapapa. Served as the rabbi of Rhodes. In 1680, he returned to Izmir. Authored the large composition "Bnei Chayai" on the Tur and Beit Yosef responsa and novellae, which was published by his disciples Rabbi Meir Danon and Rabbi Chaim Ben Yitzchak Raphael Alfendri and was printed in a village near Kushta, Orta Kiovi in 1717. Also authored "Kuntras HaGittin" which was printed in the book "Yad Aharon" by Rabbi Aharon Alfendri. In his book, he also introduces the doctrine of his uncle (his mother's brother) – Rabbi Ya'akov Alfendri. (Mamlechet Olam HaHalacha, p. 266).

6, 164 leaves. The copy lacks the title page and first three leaves. Several of the leaves inside the books are damaged with slight lacks. Original leather binding, worn and detached. Many leaves are detached. A little worming. Good-fair condition.
